Project Description

From North American Natives trought Mexico , going south I took a minute to make this anciant Mayan warrior.

Maya used two-handed swords crafted from strong wood with the blade fashioned from inset obsidian Blood was viewed as a potent source of nourishment for the Maya deities, and the sacrifice of a living creature was a powerful blood offering. By extension, the sacrifice of a human life was the ultimate offering of blood to the gods, and the most important Maya rituals culminated in human sacrifice.

Spanish conquest stripped away most of the defining features of Maya civilization. However, many Maya villages remained remote from Spanish colonial authority, and for the most part continued to manage their own affairs till this day .
